"This utopia had only been a distant dream; the misty, disorienting terrain unraveling before their feet symbolized the unsurmoutable journey which they would have to take on in order to free themselves from this impalpable grasp.
Blue Eyes marks to them the end of an era, a joyful, naive, yet melancholic sojourn. Leaving behind some of the hurt and grief, only to make way for the then repressed confusion and anguish. They were lost, and so they started wandering, their path only defined by what seemed like a faint, blurry sunset through the frozen ice.
Soma thus leads us to the central dilemma by bringing to light a paradoxical predicament; to free themselves from the reality which they were actively trying to escape, they would need to rid themselves of the one thing that was the very essence of their living in this exact same reality. They were ambling blind, living in a world that wasn’t truly theirs, but who were they?
Come Down acts as an introspection where the fog's cloak reaches its densest, only to slowly start lifting from the air, revealing the ground beneath. They could see more clearly now, and although the road ahead of them was not set in stone, they would one day find the right way home, if there was one.
Human comes as a reinstatement of their own faith, their convictions, their humanity. They were not made to be the saviors of this world, they would instead build their own.
Eyes Wide Shut signifies letting go of everything that was holding them back. Allowing the burden of others as much as their own to dissipate entirely, and to be replaced with inner peace, inner truth. One could think they never truly woke up from this reality which they had been trying to escape; one could think that they ended up exactly were they started, only that did not matter then. The outcome was of no consequence. The key did not need to be found yet, only the path that would eventually lead to it. If anything, they chose to find what they were looking for; their eyes were, at last, no longer wide shut."
